Financial Aid

  • Always Apply! You will never know if you qualify unless you apply.
  • Fill out a FAFSA form to see if you qualify for state or Federal Aid. http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. This can not be done until January of your senior year.
  • To qualify for aid in California, you will also need to fill out a GPA verification form. Visit a counselor fill in your GPA.
  • The FAFSA filing period is from the beginning of January to the end of February.
  • Visit fastweb.com - They offer many scholarship and financial aid opportunities.
  • Visit the College Board site:
http://apps.collegeboard.com/cbsearch_ss/welcome.jsp
  • See if companies of parents and other relatives offer any scholarships. The smaller the applicant pool, the better your chances.
  • Contact Mrs. Bega in the Career Center for scholarship information: 347-6544
  • Scoring well on the STAR test can qualify you for scholarship money from the state.
  • If nothing else, you most likely will be able to get a low cost student loan.
